  • According to reliable sources, Obama likely to unveil unilateral overhaul of the nation’s immigration system on upcoming Friday and believe it or not, the plans are big. As he promised to the nation, he will expand the DACA action and provide work permits to millions of undocumented immigrants.

    DACA (Deferred Actions against Childhood Arrival) action was taken by Obama in 2012 and helped more than half a million youngsters from deportation that entered in the United States when they were minors. Obama’s executive action is believed to give work permits to more than 5 million undocumented immigrants.

    Apart from DACA action, the executive action may include a very critical issue- Border Security. As we all know, America’s border security needs to be take care of. A comprehensive immigration bill scripted by Gang of Eight and passed by the Senate in 2013 has some profound parameters for border security. Obama seems to push it in his executive action.

    Furthermore, it would be interesting to know how Obama will take care of another issue- Pathway to Citizenship. According to reports, there are more than 11 million undocumented immigrants residing in the United States. All eyes are watching to the one man with hope.
