Finally there is good news for Obama and others who supports comprehensive immigration bill. The catholic bishops of the United States come in unison and backed Obama’s immigration plan and urged both parties to pass comprehensive immigration bill in the Congress.
At the hierarchy’s annual meeting, Seattle Auxiliary Bishop Eusebio Elizondo, chairman of the migration committee of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, said the USCCB will continue support authorities who support immigration reform as there is an urgent need to fix this broken and immoral immigration system. He also urged Republicans to work with Democrats and come up with profound immigration mechanism that helps United States in a meaningful way.
He added that it is not the headlines which tell us about immigration systems, but by the human tragedies that we witness every day in our church that how families are torn apart by enforcement actions.
Republicans, after winning November elections, threatened Obama that they will kill any immigration if President will work on his own. The Comprehensive immigration reform bill was passed in the Senate last year but was blocked in the Congress as Republicans were in majority in the house.
