• PRESIDENT OBAMA’S EXECUTIVE ORDER- FROM A DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE
  • According to recent reports the American state of Texas is leading the other states in suing the Obama administration’s recent intentions for executive actions on immigration.

Many top leaders of the Grand Old Party have criticized the President’s move to spare as many as 5 million people living in the United States illegally – and save them from deportation. The Republicans feel that the 5 million people are being targeted as prospective voters for the Democrats, hence the move by Obama to win them over. This resistance has been taken a step further, with a law case being filed in one of the courts in Texas. Other states soon followed suit, and 16 other states, including Alabama, Georgia, Idaho and Indiana filed cases against the President too. It is being increasingly felt that President Obama’s executive action is aimed at “quashing” the U S constitution.

All the lawsuits raise three points; they state that:

    1. Obama violated the “Take Care Clause” of the US Constitution
    2. The government seriously violated rule-making procedures
    3. The order will only aggravate the humanitarian crisis piling up along the southern border.

All these, say the leaders, will seriously hamper and affect state investment in law enforcement, health care and education. Most Republican party members feel that the execute order will only promote a culture of lawlessness, they feel, it was as if a sign has been placed on the road that they could do as they pleased, while ignoring the laws of the United States.
