As expected, immigration reform is taking hold in United States politics. After the remarkable victory in the November elections, Speaker Boehner said in the press conference held on Tuesday that Obama may invite big trouble by using his executive power to come up with immigration reform.

Boehner having the highest majority in the Senate will begin 144th US congress with the largest majority of any Republican speaker since at least the 1940s.
