• Obama moves further on immigration issue
  • Finally Obama announced that he is going to address the nation on Thursday to make some effective changes in the existing immigration policies. Under this action plan, he is supposed to offer work permits to almost 3 to 5 million illegal immigrants and also ease down the deportation policy and expand his 2012 DACA plan.

“The nation needs a profound immigration reform and after consistent failure of Congress to address this issue, we have to address it in our way.”  Obama said in June 2013. However, due to pressure of some Democrats, he postponed his executive plan till November elections and now he is ready to move further.

Not to forget that the Republicans are not very happy with this action and has threatened Democrats many a times to stop Obama taking executive action. However, Obama seems strong and finally will address this issue on Thursday.

Furthermore, some Republicans who are potential candidates in the upcoming presidential elections in 2016, threatened Obama to file a lawsuit against him if he act on immigration reform on his own.

However, no matter what, Thursday will be one of the most awaiting day for the US politics and undocumented immigrants.
