On getting green card citizenship, one can go for naturalization. US citizen is by two ways either by birth or through naturalization. Below are few steps to naturalization:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">If you are 18 years old and have a permanent resident for at least five years or three years if married to a US citizen, and after meeting all the eligible requirements, one can be eligible for naturalization.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">On meeting all the basic requirements of becoming a US citizen, Form N-400 needs to be applied for naturalization.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Biometrics checks needs to be completed before USCIS schedules for an interview. All applicants needs be fingerprinted for criminal background checks conducted by Federal Bureau of Investigation.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">On completion of preliminary processes, USCIS will schedule an interview that will complete with the naturalization process. It is important not to miss out the interview.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">If granted USCIS will approve your Form N-400, provided the evidence on record establishes your eligibility for naturalization. If not it will be denied for not being eligible for naturalization.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Usually Oath ceremony will take place on the same day as your interview.
