{"id":1257,"date":"2015-03-16T13:09:23","date_gmt":"2015-03-16T13:09:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.easyime.com\/blog\/?p=1257"},"modified":"2015-03-16T13:09:59","modified_gmt":"2015-03-16T13:09:59","slug":"texan-judges-ruling-deeply-flawed-says-group-immigration-scholars-legal-experts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.easyime.com\/blog\/texan-judges-ruling-deeply-flawed-says-group-immigration-scholars-legal-experts\/","title":{"rendered":"Texan Judge\u2019s Ruling Deeply Flawed \u2013 Says Group of Immigration Scholars and Legal Experts"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.easyime.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/16-March-e1426511217446.jpg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1258\" src=\"http:\/\/www.easyime.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/16-March-e1426511217446.jpg\" alt=\"16-March\" width=\"800\" height=\"800\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A group of legal scholars and immigration-based law instructors recently came up with a statement, declaring that the Texas-based judge\u2019s decision to block the President\u2019s decision \u201cdeeply flawed.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The group argued on television that the executive action programs would have protected \u201cthousands\u201d from the scepter of deportation while providing them permission to work, which would have been within the \u201clegal authority of the federal administration\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Some of the arguments made by the group included one which said that there was strong legal authority for the deferred action in general, especially for DACA and DAPA, which were recognized in law as a form of prosecutable discretion, and another one which said that the Texan judge had confused deferred action with work permission, and that he was mistaken to suggest that a person could not obtain legal presence through the DACA and DAPA programs. The statement also said that the immigration system had more than 20 forms of prosecutorial discretion that were used by the Department of Homeland Security.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The statement signed by the group of scholars and instructors were similar to others that were signed by the same people when the President\u2019s immigration reform actions were being
